Ways to Give
Ensure the Newberry remains free and open to future generations
Membership in the Blatchford Society is open to all who have made an estate or deferred gift commitment of any amount or value to the Newberry Library. Donors can make a gift through a bequest in their will, or by naming the Newberry Library as a beneficiary of life insurance, a charitable gift annuity, or a lead trust.
To learn more about the Blatchford Society, please contact Sierra Salinas, Director of Major and Planned Giving, at (312) 255-3544 or salinass@newberry.org.
Help our collection grow
Members of the Society of Collectors support the Newberry by making a gift of $5,000 or more for the acquisition of materials. Members receive invitations to exclusive events that highlight new acquisitions and our curators' expertise.
For more information about the Society of Collectors, please contact Sierra Salinas, Director of Major and Planned Giving, at (312) 255-3544 or salinass@newberry.org.
Support all we do
Giving to the Annual Fund is the best way to ensure the Newberry continues to inspire research and learning in all our users. Your contribution supports our efforts to care for a world-renowned collection and make it accessible—free of charge—to thousands of genealogists, artists, scholars, educators, students, and people like you from Chicago and around the globe.
Make a gift of $50 or more to join the Associates and receive special benefits such as a Newberry coffee mug, subscription to The Newberry Magazine, and more.
Provide leadership support that impacts all areas of the Newberry's operations
We gratefully recognize individuals who give $1,500 or more to the Annual Fund as members of the President’s Fellows. President’s Fellows play a vital role in promoting the humanities in Chicago and beyond and receive a variety of benefits and recognition opportunities for their contributions.
