In this installment of "Conversations at the Newberry," two BIPOC (Black, Indigenous, People of Color) former leaders of west coast Shakespeare theaters—Nataki Garrett, Oregon Shakespeare Festival, and Eric Ting, California Shakespeare Theater—reflect back upon their tenures, the challenges they faced, and the systems they wrestled against. They invite us to imagine pathways through this unprecedented moment of vulnerability in the American theater.

“Conversations at the Newberry” are generously sponsored by Sue and Melvin Gray.
