Gothic architecture, mysterious tales, and fascinating histories are abound in the city of Chicago. This Halloween season, come explore some of Chicago's most iconic gothic architecture sites and learn more about their dark histories.
On this walking tour, we will learn about the 19th-century gothic architecture revival in Chicago and visit some of these gothic buildings, such as the famous Chicago Water Tower and Holy Name Cathedral. We will also visit other Chicago landmarks, including the Drake Hotel, and learn about the mysterious tales from the past that are still lurking about these sites.
Katrina Kemble is an adjunct literature professor at Columbia College Chicago and Loyola University Chicago. She has a love for gothic literature and architecture.
