Join us for a brown bag discussion to hear about new digital pedagogy opportunities with our collection of over 30,000 French Revolution-era pamphlets. Students and faculty from the University of Illinois at Chicago and DePaul University will describe their experience using the site in the classroom, while members of our Digital Initiatives and Services department will speak about the exciting digital potential for this important collection.
Topics of discussion will include how instructors and students can use our "Translating French Pamphlets" website to translate selected texts from our recently digitized French Pamphlets Collection into English, and how graduate students and faculty may apply for a Newberry open data grant of $1,000 for developing an innovative project that unlocks new perspectives on the French Revolution through tools like digital mapping, text mining, and data visualization.
