Something Wicked This Way Comes
Forbidden Newberry returns, bringing out the scariest and most scandalous items from the Newberry collections. This year we are excited to bring you a duet of presentations: Women and Other Monsters featuring queens, politicians, and misbehaving women with George Amos Poole III Curator of Rare Books and Manuscripts Dr. Suzanne Karr Schmidt; and Here be Monsters showcasing creatures ranging from the fantastical to the horrific from Instruction and Outreach Librarian Nora Epstein.
Forbidden Newberry is presented by Newberry Next Chapter. Event tickets are free for current members of Next Chapter. Tickets are $35 for non-members.
Each event ticket includes: entrance to both tours, two drink tickets, hors d’oeuvres, and Newberry giveaways.
Come as you are. Costumes optional.
