Class Description

Whether over the airwaves or on the silver screen, the classic comedy genre benefited from many beloved comedic partnerships. Join film historian Annette Bochenek as she presents early comedy’s top partnerships, including Abbott & Costello, Burns & Allen, Laurel & Hardy, Martin & Lewis, and more. The class will include a multimedia presentation of photos, video clips, and captivating stories.

Dr. Annette Bochenek is an archivist, film historian, professor, and avid scholar of Hollywood’s Golden Age. She manages the “Hometowns to Hollywood” blog, in which she profiles her trips to the hometowns of classic Hollywood stars.
