Class Description
This course offers a comprehensive overview of Armenian history, from its ancient roots to its modern-day challenges. We will delve into the Armenian culture, including its cuisine, festivals, traditions, and the significance of historical sites and monasteries.
Through engaging lectures, interactive activities, and thought-provoking discussions, participants will gain a deep understanding of Armenia's past and present. The course will explore the country's geographic location, the historical significance of its position, and the creation of the Armenian alphabet. Additionally, we will discover the captivating city of Yerevan, learning about its history, landmarks, and the impact of Soviet-era architecture.

Arvin Bilemjian is an enthusiastic Armenian tutor who is passionate about sharing Armenian history and culture and committed to providing a supportive and engaging learning environment. She has a Master's degree in teaching and is the founder of Hay Teach Learning Academy.
All virtual classes are recorded and made available to participants registered in the class. These recordings are password-protected and available for up to two weeks after the class ends.

6 Sessions, $200 ($180 for Newberry members, seniors, and students). Learn about becoming a member.
We offer our classes at three different price options: Regular ($200), Community Supported ($190), and Sponsor ($210). Following the models of other institutions, we want to ensure that our classes are accessible to a wider audience while continuing to support our instructors. You may choose the price that best fits your situation when registering through Learning Stream.
