Seminar Description
Crossing the pond is easier than you think. We'll review the history of immigrant travel into the U.S. and how to find genealogical records in most European countries. This presentation covers five areas of overseas genealogy – emigration, voyage details, immigration, naturalization and genealogical websites both American and European.
One session. Registration – $50/$45
Researching her ancestors since 1996, Jacquie Schattner has volunteered for 15 years at her local Family History Center, is active in several genealogy societies, and teaches genealogy at high schools and libraries. She has published three books on family history and holds a B.S. from University of Illinois. Jacquie is a retired school secretary.
