The Newberry Building

The Newberry building, designed by architect Henry Ives Cobb, was completed in the fall of 1893, just after the World’s Columbian Exposition held in Chicago. Featuring many elegant architectural details, the Newberry is a wonderful space with an uncommon turn-of-the-century elegance serving as a beautiful backdrop for so many possibilities. For greater detail on our building, we recommend attending one of our Public Tours. Read more about the Newberry.

During the hours that our building is closed, we are able to rent exclusive use of our rental spaces for many different types of events. Please see our Plan an Event page to explore the various events we can accommodate, or our Event Spaces page to learn more about our individual event spaces available in the Newberry building.

We look forward to showing you our beautiful spaces available in 2016, 2017, and 2018 and discussing the particular needs of your event. We care very much about our clients and want to work with you to ensure an enjoyable and successful event.
