Events for Donors

In recognition of their leadership support of the Newberry Library, President’s Fellows and Newberry Associates at the Humanists level and above are invited to an exclusive tour of ¡Viva la Libertad! Latin America and the Age of Revolutions.

Featuring maps, manuscripts, and rare books from the Age of Revolutions, this exhibition returns visitors to the 1820s, when new countries emerged from colonial rule across the Americas—from Mexico to Chile. These countries faced many challenges, including how best to govern, allocate resources, and treat their diverse populations.

In accordance with social distancing requirements, each tour will have limited capacity, with reservations issued on a first-come, first-served basis. Masks will be required for the duration of your visit to the library. Each tour will be approximately one hour in length.

Cost and Registration Information

An email with registration information will be sent to eligible donors. To learn more, visit Annual Support and Membership or contact Vince Firpo, Director of Individual Giving, at firpov@newberry.org.
