Megan Smolenyak is reporting on her blog that the Social Security Adminstration is extending its FOIA restriction back to 100 years from applicants’ births. This marks a change in policy and means that Social Security applications (SS-5’s) can currently only be obtained without redactions for those born prior to 1912.
