Beers, James Wellington “Catalogs of the collection of shorthand books and magazines.” Unpublished, 1900-1949. Call number: MS Z 201 .08355. Beers published and collected shorthand manuals. His collection, donated to the Library in 1953, consists of around 3,000 pamphlets and texts in 1,860 volumes. Of the four volume manuscript catalog to the collection, the first volume lists the collection as it was in about 1900, the second about 1902–6, the third, early in 1948, and the fourth (incomplete) in 1949.
