Mark your calendars for the 27th Annual Newberry Library Book Fair and be sure to join us for Chicago’s most popular used book binge. Most books are under $2 and admission is free! Browse through more than 120,000 used books in 70 categories. Scour the sale for amazing deals on cookbooks, fiction, art books, children’s literature, collectibles, and much, much more. At least year’s sale, items that sold ranged from paperback mysteries and romance novels, to a first-edition copy of The Great Gatsby by F. Scott Fitzgerald.

Come one, come all to the Bughouse Square Debates, Saturday, July 30 at 1:00 pm in Bughouse Square (aka Washington Square Park). The Bughouse Square Committee is pleased to announce that we are offering an “open mic” Soapbox this year, so everybody and anybody can compete for the coveted Dil Pickle Award. Exercise your First Amendment rights at the Bughouse Square Debates!

Chicago performance art group Environmental Encroachment will entertain us this year. EE uses circus theatrics and an artist marching band to create unique entertainment environments.
