There is no series of passenger list transcriptions devoted solely to Polish immigrants. Researchers should consult the Newberry's Passenger Lists handout.
Helpful subject headings in the computer catalog begin with "Poles" or "Polish Americans" often followed by place names (for example, "Poles - Maryland" or "Polish Americans - Maryland"). The card catalog will also have subject headings "Poles in . . ." as well asa subject headings beginning "Polish Americans . .."
Researchers who have identified an ancestral location in Poland are urged to consult the catalog of the Family History Library (Salt Lake City) as part of the CD-ROM reference set Family Search located on the second floor or online at www.familysearch.org. The Family History Library has filmed many Polish records which can be obtained on loan at local Mormon Family History Centers or at the Newberry Library.
