If you are looking for the census schedules for a particular U.S. state or territory, check with the reference librarian on the 2nd floor. Many census indexes are available in print and on CD. Also, search the library's online and card catalogs by the name of the county and town to see if the Newberry has any other census indexes. Search the Periodical Source Index (PERSI) on Ancestry.com to see if any indexes were published in journals. Some census items (indexes, schedules, transcriptions) may be available through the Family History Library (http://www.familysearch.org).
