Genealogy Saturday at the Newberry

At 9:30am join us for the monthly Newberry Genealogy Orientation. It’s a perfect way to jump start your research.

At 1:30pm, join the Chicago Genealogical Society to hear Dr. Daniel Hubbard’s presentation,  “Mapping the past, navigating your family history with maps.“  This presentation looks at different types of maps and how to use them to understand your ancestor’s towns and migrations; changing borders, and extracting data and even names from maps. Dr. Hubbard is a full-time professional genealogist and writer, the First Vice-President of the Lake County Genealogical Society, and a member of the Nordic Family Genealogy Advisory Board at the Swedish-American Museum in Chicago.
