Since its founding in 1887, the Newberry has provided programs in the humanities for people throughout the Chicago metropolitan region. Today, through a series of conferences, public lectures, meet the author events, seminars, exhibitions, and other programs, you can explore history, literature, music, the arts, and more. Programs and Events are organized by many groups and departments within the Newberry, but all are brought together in our Calendar. New offerings are added frequently, so check back often.
