Writing Family Stories: The Holiday Version

Saturday, December 1, 2012

10 – 4 pm

Led by Carol LaChapelle

This workshop is for those who are interested in writing family stories—real-life accounts of important people, places, and events. These stories may be recorded as letters, diary entries, short remembrances, character sketches, and even eulogies. We will discuss the merits of each of these forms and practice writing in them. Participants will leave this workshop with a handful of good stories—in oral or written form—to share at holiday family gatherings, or as gifts or keepsakes.

Carol LaChapelle is a writer and writing coach. She offers private instruction in memoir and personal essay writing and is the author of Finding Your Voice, Telling Your Stories.
